7707 - Residuals of spleen injury Rating
An evaluation of 50 percent is assigned whenever there is a partial obstruction shown by X-ray with frequent and prolonged episodes of severe colic distension, nausea, or vomiting following severe peritonitis, ruptured appendix, perforated ulcer, or surgical drainage. 50
An evaluation of 30 percent is assigned for partial obstruction manifested by delayed motility of barium meal and episodes of pain. A higher evaluation of 50 percent is not warranted unless there is evidence of a partial obstruction shown by X-ray with frequent and prolonged episodes of severe colic distension, nausea, or vomiting following severe peritonitis, ruptured appendix, perforated ulcer, or surgical drainage. 30
An evaluation of 10 percent is assigned for pulling pain on attempting work or movement of the body, or occasional episodes of colic pain, nausea, constipation (perhaps alternating with diarrhea), or abdominal distension. A higher evaluation of 30 percent is not warranted unless the record shows partial obstruction manifested by delayed motility of barium meal and episodes of pain./td> 10
